What’s on your plate?
The average human may consume up to 2000 microplastic particles in a week.
In a study led by two PhD students from the University of Arizona, microplastic particles were detected in 100% of human organs sampled. One of the most common ways of microplastic consumption is through food.
By creating food models out of plastic bags and other plastic waste, this photographic series comments on the infiltration of microplastic in the food we eat.
